The Brooks team, which was led by head coaches Tom Kennedy and Sule Kivanc-Ancieta and parent volunteer Victor Ancieta, competed against 19 other schools in 23 events and earned three medals.
The Brooks Science Olympiad Team participated in the Illinois Science Olympiad Tournament on Saturday, March 14, 2015. The tournament, which was hosted by the College of Dupage, drew 38 middle schools and high schools from throughout the region.
The Brooks team, which was led by head coaches Tom Kennedy and Sule Kivanc-Ancieta and parent volunteer Victor Ancieta, competed against 19 other schools in 23 events and earned three medals, including:
- Write it Do it: Bronco Emmenegger and Merrick Ohata took fourth place
- Simple Machines: Samantha Braun and Esteban Linarez took fifth place
- Can’t Judge a Powder: Samantha Braun and Kyla Strickler took fifth place
