District 97 Superintendent Search Community Forum - Oct. 20

Superintendent Search Virtual Community Forum - Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.

Families and community members are invited to share their thoughts on the next District 97 superintendent during a virtual forum on Oct. 20.

As you are aware, the District 97 Board of Education has initiated its search for a new superintendent of schools, and we want to hear your thoughts!

What are the strengths of our schools and district? What challenges is the district currently facing? What should the new leader's priorities be? What personal characteristics and professional qualifications would you like the next superintendent to have?

To assist us in this important process, we have retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA). They specialize in assisting boards with the identification and selection of candidates after we hear from all stakeholder groups in the community.

HYA will be hosting a virtual forum for the District 97 community on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The forum will be conducted using Zoom Webinar, which allows up to 500 participants.

There are two ways to participate:

The District 97 Board welcomes and appreciates your input and looks forward to your thoughtful feedback in the forum. HYA will compile all of the feedback from the forum, and from the focus groups, community survey, and individual interviews and prepare a Leadership Profile Report that will be presented at a future board meeting.
