Michaela Ruff
Art Teacher
After receiving a K-12 Art Education degree from the University of New Mexico in 2006, I went on to further my education by getting a Masters from St. Xavier University for Teacher Leadership in 2010. This degree has helped me to develop a strong voice on teams that help to think outside the box for our staff and students. I taught K-5 art in Park Ridge for 10 years before coming to Oak Park in 2017. I taught art 4 years while traveling between Holmes & Longfellow. In 2021 I became the art teacher at Hatch, and have been here ever since :) When you walk into our art room, you can expect to be greeted by hardworking artists that feel loved, seen, and excited to explore their creativity!
