Rocio Jacoby

Rocío Jacoby is a passionate World Language teacher with more than 20 years of World Language teaching experience. She holds National Board Certification in World Language Spanish, Spanish and ESL endorsements, M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois, BS in Education-World Language-English & French from Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, Peru. Born and raised in Peru and moved to the USA in 2000. She speaks some French and Italian. She is raising her 3 children to be bicultural, bilingual, global citizens. Her classes are based on comprehensible input/Acquisition Driven Instruction. Vocabulary and grammar structures are presented in context through fun games, songs, stories, cultural projects from Spanish speaking countries, and much more; in order to provide the input students need to acquire Spanish and to make them excited about learning another language.
