Joel Blecha

Hi! My name is Joel Blecha (pronounced /BLECK-uh/) and I am a kindergarten teacher at Irving Elementary School. This is my 19th year of teaching (3rd, 2nd, and lots of 1st grade in both New York City and Chicago) and I couldn't be happier to now join the wonderful Irving community as a teacher where I've been an Irving parent of Asa (second grade) and Tate (fifth grade). I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelors in elementary education and a minor in theatre in addition to earning a masters degree in special education from Fordham University. I look forward to seeing you around Oak Park!
