Mary Kate Montroy

Hi, my name is Mary Kate Montroy and I teach fourth grade here at Irving! This will be my third year teaching. Before joining District 97 I taught fourth and first grade with Chicago Public Schools. While working in the classroom, I demonstrate a strong work ethic, passion for teaching, and reflect on all lessons, to help ensure that I am helping all students succeed. I strive to be a mentor and advocate for my students. I want to establish a culture for learning in the classroom, enhance my students' strengths, support their needs as diverse learners, and set goals with them. I am excited to work alongside with not only my students throughout the year, but also their families!
