Julian Track & Field

Practice Schedule:

Track officially begins Monday, March 16th. However, our winter running club will be meeting in the mornings starting on Monday, March 2nd, and attendance for that is HIGHLY encouraged for all athletes interested in track. 

  • Practices will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday before school from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
  • No practice on Wednesday unless otherwise specified.
  • Practice will start promptly at 7:30 a.m. please be at Julian by 7:15-7:20 a.m. to allow yourself time to put away school items and get ready for practice. 
    • Runners will use the PE Locker rooms to store their items while at practice.
    • After practice runners may use the gym locker rooms to change into school clothes but then need to report back outside to their designated grade-level areas.
    • Please bring a water bottle for practice along with a snack for after practice (optional but encouraged).

Below is a tentative list of our 2026 Julian Track Meet schedule (more to come later). Athletes will be chosen to compete in meets based on their performance at practice and time trials that occur throughout the season. They will be notified of what events they're racing at the beginning of the week before each meet.

  • Saturday, April 11th: Chute Invitational (Evanston)
  • Sunday, April 12th: Windy City Series #1 (Chicago Hope)
  • Sunday, April; 19th: Windy City Series #2 (Chicago Hope)
  • Saturday, April 25th: Keith Zawila Invitational (Mundelein)
  • Sunday, April 26th: Windy City Series #3 (Chicago Hope)
  • Saturday, May 2nd: J-Barb Invite (DeKalb)
  • Sunday, May 3rd: Windy City Series #4 (Chicago Hope)
  • Saturday, May 9th: Palatine Invitational 
  • Friday,  May 15th or Saturday, May 16th: Sectionals (TBD)
  • Friday/Saturday, May 22/23: State (East Peoria Central)
