Student behavior and discipline have been important and widely discussed topics across our community. In response, the District 97 Parent and Teacher Advisory Committee (PTAC) is hosting a Community Conversation on Understanding and Supporting Student Behavior on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brooks Middle School.
The facilitated conversation will bring together families, educators, students, board members, and community members to build shared understanding around behavior expectations, discipline practices, and the social-emotional supports students need to thrive. Participants will have the opportunity to listen, share perspectives, and explore proactive strategies that strengthen partnership and trust across our schools.
This event reflects District 97’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and shared responsibility in supporting student behavior—we hope you will join us.
Please RSVP by Feb. 13 at https://bit.ly/4baioS4.
