Roshaun Bowens

Roshaun Bowens comes to District 97 from Epic Academy High School in Chicago, where he served as assistant principal for the past two years. There, he led the multi-tiered systems of support team and worked with the college and career director to support students in planning for postsecondary success through six career pathways. 

Over the past decade, Mr. Bowens has served students in Chicago Public Schools in a number of capacities over the last decade, starting as a middle school counselor and later leading 13 Network SEL Specialists and school-based leadership teams as a social emotional instructional lead. 

Mr. Bowens is a Licensed Professional Counselor, has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tennessee State University. He received his master’s degree in counseling from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership.
