Dear Julian Eighth-Grade Families,
We are excited to announce our eighth-grade trip to Washington, D.C.! The Washington, D.C. trip for Brooks and Julian middle schools will take place Saturday, March 16 - Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
We will be partnering with Close Up, a non-profit organization that since 1971 has provided hands-on experiential programs for over 1 million students and teachers from across the country. Using the nation’s capital as a living classroom, students will get a “close up” view of American history, government, and democracy in action.
Close Up’s unique, all-inclusive programs allow for students to have a fun and educational Washington, D.C. experience they will never forget.
District 97 will be hosting an information session for Julian eighth-grade families about the Washington, D.C. trip on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m., where we’ll share program details, cost, important dates and deadlines, and more.
