Registration Open: Virtual Town Hall for D97 Superintendent Finalists on Jan. 29

As part of the District 97 superintendent search process, community members are invited to participate in a Superintendent Finalist Town Hall on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This virtual forum will introduce the finalist candidates for the superintendent position and provide our community with an opportunity to get to know them.

Live Webinar Registration (Requested by Noon, Jan. 29)

Community members who wish to participate live in the town hall are asked to register for the Zoom webinar by noon on Thursday, Jan. 29, using the link below:

Jan. 29 Superintendent Town Hall Registration Link

After registering, participants will receive:

  • A link to join the live webinar (sent by email), and
  • A link to the feedback survey prior to the start of the event.

The webinar platform can accommodate up to 3,000 participants. The webinar will open at 5:45 p.m., with the town hall beginning promptly at 6 p.m.

After the Town Hall

Following the town hall, District 97 will share links to the recording of the forum and feedback survey, both of which will be available through 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30.

The town hall will be facilitated by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB), which is supporting District 97 throughout the superintendent search process. Community feedback will be summarized by IASB and shared with the District 97 Board of Education. This input will be one of several pieces of information the board considers as it moves into final interviews and works toward selecting the district’s next superintendent.

Candidate interviews will begin Monday, Jan. 26. We are grateful to our staff, families, and community members for their continued engagement in this important process, and we thank you for taking the time to participate and share your perspective.
