Individuals & Societies Teacher

  • (opens in new window)

Hello! I have been teaching at Brooks since January 2018 as the Individuals and Societies teacher on 7.3. I am in my 7th year of teaching, after switching careers from broadcast media.

I am incredibly passionate about history, politics, and civil rights, and the path of progress our country has and continues to take, and I love to incorporate all of those things into daily discussions with students.

I got my Master of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University in 2014, and I graduated from the University of Dayton sometime last century. (Go Flyers!)

I live in Oak Park with my wife and four children, two of whom are D97 students (and two twins who will join them in a couple of years.) I love to travel, cook, do community theatre, watch the Cubs, watch Dayton basketball, and read, but let's be honest -- with four kids I don't really get to do any of those things anymore. (Sigh. Maybe one day.)
