'Best and Brightest': 56 Middle Schoolers Selected for ILMEA Junior Festival

The Brooks and Julian Music Departments are celebrating District 97's tremendous showing at the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) Junior Honors Festivals.  A total of 56 students rehearsed for weeks, created audition videos, and were selected to represent Brooks and Julian Middle School in the Honors Choir, Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Band Festivals this November. The Honors Festivals included the most talented young musicians from schools in a geographical area that stretches from the city of Chicago down to Joliet, including nearly 80 participating schools.

District 97's Music Department would like to recognize the following outstanding musicians for preparing their audition and festival music almost entirely on their own outside of school hours and for thrilling festival performances amongst the best and brightest musicians in the Chicago area.
