Background

Ms. Court has been a dedicated member of the District 97 community for nearly 15 years, serving as design teacher and department chair at Julian. As department chair, she supported the curricular review, adoption, articulation and implementation of project-based STEM learning. A National Board Certified Teacher, Ms. Court also led professional development sessions for her peers to advance equity and engagement in the classroom.

Beyond the classroom, Ms. Court has served on Julian’s Building Leadership Team, Instructional Leadership Team and Professional Learning Committee, helping to write, implement and monitor the School Improvement Plan. She has also collaborated on the development of positive behavior implementation and support system and created lessons to support school-wide implementation.

Ms. Court holds a bachelor’s degree in business teacher education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in educational media design and technology from Full Sail University. She also holds master’s degrees in both teacher leadership and principal preparation from Concordia University.

With her longstanding commitment to Julian and deep understanding of our school and community, Ms. Court is uniquely positioned to make an immediate, positive impact on our students, families and staff in her new leadership role.
