Allison Nelson

Welcome to Longfellow!  This is my 20th year of teaching, and all of those years have been at Longfellow!  I am a District 97 alum myself, and I also attended high school at OPRF and then went on to college at the University of Illinois.  Go Illini!  I also earned a master's degree in reading at Concordia University.

I am from Oak Park, and still live in the community with my husband, Jeremiah, and my 4 year old son, Jay.  In my free time, I enjoy taking walks around town, spending time with my family and friends, planning parties and other events, watching White Sox games, and checking out local coffee shops in search of the best cold brew and iced vanilla latte.
