Tricia Groben
3rd Grade Teacher
My name is Tricia Groben, and I am a third grade teacher at Whittier Elementary School. I joined District 97 in 2012 after nine years of teaching experience in second and third grade. Prior to joining the Whittier staff, I served as Longfellow’s data and instructional technology coach for four years and as the building instructional coach for eight years.
I earned bachelor's degrees in elementary education and English literature from Knox College, and later earned two master’s degrees—one in curriculum and instruction from Loyola University and one in school leadership from Concordia University. In 2018, I earned my National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist.
This year, I will be serving on the District 97 Math Committee and participating in the district's math pilot.
