Stacy Sorg

I am excited to begin my 12th year of teaching here at Longfellow.  This will be my 2nd year in 3rd grade, having taught 2nd grade in private school prior to that.  I attended Miami University, UIC, and Northeastern Illinois University.  It will be an exhilarating year with lots of learning and growth.  I love to see the joy of learning and accomplishment come alive in my students. 

I live in Oak Park with my husband, 3 sons, and a dog.  I love to be outside walking or hiking, enjoying the ocean, and soaking up some sunshine.  I also enjoy cheering for my kids in whatever sport or activity they are in- soccer, baseball, swimming and water polo are the favorites.  I love to visit my oldest son at the University of Wisconsin.  In my free time, I relish immersing myself in a good book, cooking for friends and family, and playing tennis or swimming.
