Michael Sorensen

After receiving my bachelors degree from Columbia College Chicago I decided to take a job as a a teaching assistant at Longfellow. After two years of working at Longfellow I realized teaching was becoming a passion of mine. I enrolled at Concordia University Chicago to work on getting my Masters of  Arts in Teaching.  I tought 10 years in 1st Grade at Longfellow before moving into the role of Physical Education Teacher were I am excited to continue to work with students in a new capacity. I grew up in Oak Park with my parents and two sisters and I love working in and giving back to a community that shaped me and gave me so much as a child growing up.
